Brooks Free Library
Located at 7389 Main Street, directly across from Town Hall and Brooks Park in Harwich Center. Brooks Free Library is open Tues., Wed. and Thurs. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Fri. and Sat. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Brooks Free Library is part of the CLAMS Library system. Harwich Community Center
Located at 100 Oak Street, directly across the street from Harwich High School in Harwich Center, the Harwich Community Center provides outstanding facilities for residents (permanent and nonresident taxpayers) to engage in recreational, social, educational, cultural, community service, civic, and governmental activities.
The Community Center hours of operation are from 8:30 am until 10:00 pm Monday through Friday and 9am until 5 pm Saturdays.

Harwich Parks and Recreation
The Harwich Recreation and Youth Department’s facilities and programs are open to every adult and child who resides in the Town of Harwich. A rich, year-round calendar of activities are offered through the Department, which oversees Harwich’s many wonderful salt and fresh water beaches, parks, ballfields and playground.

Harwich Fire Department
The Harwich Fire Department provides emergency fire and medical services for the residents and visitors of Harwich, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. We are a thirty-seven full-time permanent member group that works out of two fire stations. The department staffing consists of 4 groups with 7 firefighters, 2 EMT-Paramedic Day Positions and 2 public safety dispatchers each, a Fire Inspector, a Deputy Chief and a Fire Chief. All of the firefighters are trained to the EMT level and many are trained to the EMT-Paramedic level.
Harwich Police Department
The mission of the Harwich Police Department is to work with the citizens of our community in a true partnership that embraces the quality of life in our town for all individuals regardless of race, color, creed, national origin, gender, sexual preference, or religious affiliation.
This will be accomplished by raising the level of public safety through professional law enforcement, lessen the incidence of crime or fear of crime in our community through prevention, providing education to our citizens that promotes voluntary compliance with the laws and regulations designed to protect our community, and promote a better understanding of the law enforcement profession.
