CRANBERRY BOG TOURS
A guided tour of a Cape Cod cranberry bog is a fun and an educational experience where you can learn about the operation of a cranberry bog through all of the natural cycles. You’ll see the equipment used in harvesting, and maybe even get to visit with the farm animals.
DR. GRAVITY’S KITE SHOP
Dr. Gravity’s is considered a required stop by thousands on their visits to Harwich Port. Peruse through all the fun items – colorful kites, games, beach toys, and more. Bring your children or your inner child!

FARMER’S MARKET
Located in front of Brooks Academy Museum in Harwich Center, the Harwich Farmer’s Market is held each Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. The growers and producers are all from Barnstable County and off er the finest in produce, fruit, and specialty items such as herbal products, pastries, and local honey. GOLF
Get ready to tee off at Cranberry Valley Golf Club, an 18-hole Championship Golf Course owned and operated by the Town of Harwich. Cranberry Valley is a Cornish and Robinson gem with a wide variety of well-designed holes. If mini-golf is more your speed, then head to either Bud’s Mini-Golf next to Bud’s Go Karts in Harwich Port or the Weatherdeck in West Harwich (where you can also get a plate of fried clams or an ice cream!)
HARWICH MARINERS BASEBALL
Play ball! The Harwich Mariners are one of 10 teams that play in the Cape Cod Baseball League. The CCBL is the premier collegiate summer baseball league for college baseball players. Come and watch the Major League players of the future at Whitehouse Field on Oak Street.
ICE CREAM
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Did you know there are five ice cream shops in Harwich? With something for every craving, Harwich has Dairy Queen and the famous Blizzard, the wide variety of homemade specialty flavors of premium ice cream at Schoolhouse Ice Cream & Yogurt and at Sundae School, Sweet Izzy’s dairy-free and gluten-free selections, and new this season is Seagulls Ice Cream and Soda Fountain, offering soft serve with a twist and craft soda for ice cream floats.
JOURNEY
Whether on foot or on wheels, Harwich has trails for everyone! Enjoy exploring the Cape Cod Rail Trail – and you can easily stop for something cold to drink or something to eat in Harwich Center and Pleasant Lake right off the trail. Stop by the Harwich Chamber to pick up a copy of the Bike Trail map and the Harwich Conservation Trail Guide. There are a number of trails through Harwich where you can see osprey and enjoy the natural beauty of our town. <
KARTS
Bud’s Go Karts has been operating every summer since 1960! Enjoy old-fashioned fun for the whole family. Come take a spin around the track, located at the corner of Route 28 and Sisson Road.
LIBRARIES
Looking for a good book? Whether you’re seeking the latest New York Times Bestseller or looking to explore the history of our seven villages, the libraries of Harwich have it! The historic Brooks Free Library in Harwich Center, Chase Library in West Harwich, or the charming 100-year-old Harwich Port Library offer lots of options for your reading pleasure.
MELODY
The Harwich Town Band is one of the oldest and proudest volunteer concert bands on Cape Cod. Founded in 1975, the Town Band has brought enjoyment to thousands of Cape residents and summer visitors through weekly concerts every Tuesday evening during July and August. Come and enjoy the melodies in Brooks Park in Harwich Center.
NATURE
Lavender is good for the body and mind! Cape Cod Lavender Farm is a family-owned business located at the heart of 11 secluded acres. Boasting more than 7,000 plants, the property is surrounded by 75 acres of conservation land with woodland walking trails. The farm is free to visit, open March through December. The lavender harvest, where visitors see peak color and bloom, occurs between late June and mid-July. Plants and a wide variety of lavender products are available for purchase.
