The purpose of the Harwich Chamber of Commerce Charitable Foundation is to be a visible force that supports, represents, and educates the community for their economic and social benefit. We host an annual Harwich 5K Road Race with all proceeds going back to support the health and wellness of the youth of our Harwich Community. We do this and many other events and fundraisers through many initatives, which we can then give back to our community by offering such things as scholarships or other financial resources for graduating seniors at our two local high schools, Cape Cod Regional High School and Monomoy Regional High School. We were also a partner with the Harwich Elementary PTO and sponsored a bench in the park.

We also are continuing to work on grants for the betterment of the health and wellness of our youth. We also are a sponsor and supporter of The Sunshine Kid’s Foundation, which provides children abttling cancer ( yes even here in our communities) with unforgettable experiencesand joyful connections, reminding the they are never alone. It means countless moments of laighter, adventure and hope for kids and their families facing unimaginable challenges.  The youth are “Our Future” and providing them with a healthy environment is what the mission of the Harwich Chamber of Commerce Charitable Foundation is all about.

Another wonderful collaboration and partnership with the Harwich Health Department – Our People’s Fridge, which helps supply resources for food insecurities. The Harwich Chamber of Commerce Charitable Foundation also is constantly supporting programs and grants that help create a healthier future for the next generation.
